The climb is fairly easy to pedal, with only one challenging part in the last 500 metres, with peaks close to 15%; it is busy and hot in summer, so it is better to go in other seasons. The asphalt is good and the scenery is very beautiful, even though there are no views of the sea, until you reach the top of the Montecani Pass.

La salita è piuttosto pedalabile con un unica parte impegnativa negli ultimi 500m con punte vicine al 15%; trafficata e calda d'estate, meglio andarci in altre stagioni, l'asfalto è buono e il paesaggio è molto bello anche se non ci sono affacci al mare sino a scollinare per il passo di Montecani, nella splendida discesa si aprirà la vista sulla vallata e poi verso il mare di Masua con il caratteristico scoglio di Pan di Zucchero, noterete che la salita dal versante opposto è molto più dura.
