A beautiful and challenging climb through a forest. The first part you cycle along a fast-flowing river through a gorge. There is a lot of shade here and that is a good thing, because there are some very tough sections. There are several places where you can go to the river to cool off.
At the end of the climb, you come more into the open. The wind starts to blow a bit more there too. At the top, you come to a lake and there are a number of eating places. The special thing about this climb is that the other side of the Lavazè has a completely different character. A bit rougher and more barren.
