one of the most famous climbs in the area, often decisive in Lombardy. It starts out with a fairly tough climb and then slows down a little until the final 2 km, which are very tough. At the top there is a beautiful view over the valley and selvino, if you are in the area you absolutely must do it.
A climb that has become very famous in the last few years in professional cycling; on this climb, Tadej Pogaçar won his two Lombardia bergamaschi, the first on the climb and the second by placing the attack on the false-flat downhill after the descent towards Selvino. The Slovenian phenomenon also holds a monstrous (and in my opinion unparalleled) KOM on this climb. A few kilometres later, you can also see two portraits of Thibaut Pinot on the asphalt! Coming to the climb, I always find it challenging; the final section has some sharp ramps that, if you don't save yourself a bit on the lower part, can also put the less well-trained in a decidedly difficult situation. During the ascent the scenery is at times beautiful, the traffic moderate and the best is reserved at the top. The view at the pass, on a clear day, is spectacular.
Tough climb, very beautiful views on the way up and once there, on a clear day, you can see the Adamello.
One of the most beautiful climbs in the Bergamo area, both for the continuity in difficulty and for the views and absence of traffic. It starts at the bottom of the valley and arrives at a tiny hamlet at an altitude of over 1,000 metres. The last kilometres are more challenging and exciting. It is worth dosing your strength so as not to face them tired. Fontanella a Ganda.
Fontanella a Ganda.
climb to be done absolutely... fairly regular slope until the village of Orezzo, after which it becomes "interesting"....arrived at around 810/830 metres the most challenging stretch begins and if you arrive a little tired it could be a little problem...
Nice climb with an even course, I did not see any drinking fountains along the way. On arrival at the junction for Ganda, the road sign indicates 1,100 m (and not 1,060 m) as indicated for the highest point. Descending towards Selvino you can choose other routes with very quiet climbs and very little traffic
