Nice long climb, but never very hard. First 5 km rideable and in the sun, in summer even hot. Then a hard central section that never lets up but is fairly even. Finale again easier. The second half of the climb is cool and shady between beech and fir trees. Quite scenic ascent, with views of the Apennine ridge to the right for much of the climb.
During the week, little traffic, weekend probably much more.

If you are in the area and you are looking for a longer climb you may try this one. We did but none of us liked this climb. It gets some publicity due to the fact that it was part of the Giro one or twice, but there are so much nicer (although shorter) climbs in the area.
