I tried this climb in Summer 2023. Departing from Piacenza, cycling in Val Trebbia until Marsaglia then into Val d'Aveto on SP586R until the turn to Torrini. The road is fairly secluded and mainly into the forest, passing by some villages and pastures. You reach S. Stefano d'Aveto which is a larger mountain town.
