the average percentages unfairly make this climb look like it is doable. The first section is very tricky and steep with sections of 12 to 15％ with the road being very bad. Then it starts to get nice and this runs up and down nicely towards Montalcino.

Travelled along the route of the Eroica, with gravel bikes in October 2021. This, like the entire Eroica route, deserves a weekend in the surroundings of Siena. Unique landscapes, fine wines, great care for the land. There are many other climbs on 'white roads', all beautiful!

This is a nice climb to do. Typical Tuscan Strade Bianche. The first part is really hard. The profile card only shows averages, in the turns it goes up to 20％, with quite some gravel in the turns. At the top, you can go in all directions, so you can combine this climb with other nice climbs in this region.
Dit is een mooie beklimming om te doen. Typisch Toscaanse Strade Bianche. Het eerste stuk is echt zwaar. Het profielkaartje laat slechts gemiddeldes zien, in de bochten gaat het richting 20％, waarbij ook nog behoorlijk wat grind in de bochten ligt. Op de top kun je alle kanten op, dus dat maakt deze klim mooi te combineren met andere mooie beklimmingen in deze regio.
