Embark on an odyssey from Montale towards the Acquerino Natural Reserve. Traverse the charming streets of Tobbiana, where the initial calm gives way to the challenge that lies ahead. Beware, beyond Tobbiana awaits a relentless climb, with the road itself a testament to nature's rugged dominance. Despite the punishing gradient and unforgiving asphalt, press onward with unwavering resolve. Seek solace in fleeting respites, where panoramic vistas offer glimpses of the majestic heights awaiting. Feel the surge of triumph as you conquer the Acquerino summit, your spirit soaring amidst the untamed beauty of the wilderness.

Tough climb for thrill-seekers.
The first section up to the village of Tobbiana is pleasant and rideable.
Immediately after the village the first wall of almost 1 km begins with gradients of over 15%.
After this it is a continuous succession of walls and more pedalable stretches where you can catch your breath.
A very beautiful road, especially at the end when you enter the Acquerino forest.
It is just a shame that the road surface is in poor condition.
