This is the only climb on Stage 4 of the 2026 Giro d'Italia, and the review of the climb is made in front of the TV and based on the broadcaster's commentary – not on having actually completed the climb. The climb starts practically at sea level and initially winds its way through the houses and then through the Mediterannean vegetation. The elite riders reach speeds of more than 30 km/h. Road surface in very good conditions. In the region, Arbëreshë is also spoken; this is the language of Albanian refugees who settled there, mainly in the 17th and 18th century.
