Irati is the name for the area and is mainly an immense beech forest with history. Also very tasty is the Irati-Osseau goat cheese. The map on Climbfinder indicates the return route. We rode it as a descent. From Ochagavia, the climb can be reached via a nice, super quiet tarmac road that goes over a col (meadow area) and descends to the forest of Irati. We rode on from the end of the tarmac (gravel, doable with good 32mm tyres too) for a lap. See https://www.strava.com/activities/7307504565

Around the climb, the nearest catering facility is in Ochagavia, where there is also a great campsite to explore the beautiful surroundings.
