The first few hundred metres are the toughest, until after the bush. After this, it looks like a stretch of false flat.
After this grove, a line is drawn on the roadway. This slope is possibly done in a local course.
Slope never gets really steep or tough.
The base is located on a busy regional road though, be careful if you want to cross as I wanted to do.
De eerste honderden meters zijn de zwaarste, tot na het bosje. Hierna lijkt het op een stuk vals plat.
Na dit bosje is een streep getrokken op de rijbaan. Deze helling wordt eventueel gedaan in een lokale koers.
Helling wordt nooit echt steil of zwaar.
De voet is wel gelegen aan een drukke gewestweg, opletten als je wilt oversteken zoals ik wou doen.
Usually I take this slope downhill. I've only climbed it once and it's not too bad, except when the wind comes from the south and there's a headwind. It's certainly not the prettiest slope of the Hageland, but here you're already out of the real hills zone. What you do have in this area is that it's not flat anywhere but it always has the sloping character, especially when you take small roads.
A must in this region is the cycling network that leads you along the most beautiful roads and surroundings. But watch out for unpaved roads.
Meestal neem ik deze helling bergaf . Nog maar 1 keer op geteden en dat valt best mee behalve als de wind uit het zuiden komt en je tegenwind hebt. Het is zeker niet de mooiste helling van het Hageland maar hier ben je dan ook al uit de echte bergjeszone maar eerder de heuvelzone. Wat je wel hebt in deze omgeving is dat het nergens voor geen meter vlak is maar altijd het glooiende karakter zeker als je kleine weggetjes neemt.
Een aanrader in deze regio is het fietsknooppuntennetwerk dat je langs de mooiste wegen en omgeving leidt. Maar opletten voir onverharde stukjes weg.
