In reality this climb goes on much further, and you're climbing in some form all the way to motorway junction, and beyond if turning left. Yes it's a decent climb, but this one is much much better in descent, when you can appreciate the scenery and surroundings, and really fly down the bottom part (i.e. the part covered by this climb). The road is very quiet, usually. If you're making a loop from the south with Christmas Common it's better to go up another way and come down here (and then down to Marlow through Bovingdon Green). Don't expect to see the windmill - you need to be in Dolesden Lane to see that.
