Very nice climb, on a very nice mountain road, with many twists and turns. Beware of the percentages on the inside of the bends!
The road is in good condition, but with a lot of traffic.
Très belle ascension, sur une très belle route de montagne, avec beaucoup de lacets. Attention aux pourcentages à l'intérieur des virages !
La route est en bon état, avec quand même pas mal de circulation.
We drove up in two pieces (the house was 2.5 km from the "top") first from the house, a few days later to the house. The first part is really tough. A climb where a 34-34 is no luxury! Immediately steep start and after 1km a bit "flatter" but then you know (by the average) that it gets even steeper! In the inner curves the counter rises to 20％!
Naar boven gereden in twee stukken (huisje stond op 2,5km vd "top") eerst vanaf het huisje, een paar dagen later tot het huisje. Het eerste deel is echt zwaar. Een klim waar een 34-34 geen luxe is! Direct steil starten en na 1km wat "platter" maar dan weet je (door het gemiddelde) dat het nog steiler wordt! Tellertje loopt in de binnenbochten op tot 20％!
After having climbed 900 hms to Verbier (and back again) I took this side of the Ovronnaz. More doable, but still a challenge. No, no time, but I did enjoy it.
Halfway the road is less good, lots of cracks. There is not much traffic, so you can easily get around it. But beware, going down is bad, unless you are on a MTB. And not every Swiss is patient, you are in the French speaking part ;)
The signage leaves much to be desired, but just keep following the main road, which goes up, and you get there.
Na eerst 900 hms te hebben geklommen ri. Verbier (en weer terug) deze kant van de Ovronnaz gepakt. Is beter te doen, maar even goed nog een kluif. Nee, geen tijd, maar wel genoten.
Halverwege wordt de weg minder, veel scheuren. Er is niet veel verkeer, dus je kunt er goed omheen. Maar pas op, naar beneden is het slecht afdalen, tenzij je op een MTB zit. En niet elke Zwitser is geduldig, je bent in het Frans sprekende gedeelte ;)
De bewegwijzering laat te wensen over, maar blijf gewoon de doorgaande weg volgen, die omhoog gaat, en je komt er.
