Nice road through the forest descends to the bridge, after which you start off reasonably easy. A nice little climb, you think. After the second bend, it suddenly gets tough, and you don't really see it coming. Especially if you have had the necessary kilometres/high metres in your legs, it becomes a tricky little climb. From Ovivat, you can go in several directions for a nice continuation of the route.
Mooie weg door het bos daalt af tot de brug, waarna je eerst redelijk rustig begint. Lekker klimmetje denk je dan. Na de tweede bocht wordt het dan opeens toch zwaar, en dat zie je niet echt aankomen. Zeker als je al de nodige kilometers/hoogtemeters in de benen hebt, wordt het dan toch een listig klimmetje. Vanuit Ovivat kan je meerdere kanten op voor een mooi vervolg van de route.
No super-heavy percentages but the steepness of the slope combined with its length can be felt. From a beautiful valley, the road curves uphill through a forest. In the built-up area, you expect it to get less, but the road keeps on climbing until you reach the church. After you have turned left, the percentage gets lighter but your legs are nagging because of the slope you already have behind you. Good tarmac and a very nice first part. In the village it is relatively less beautiful but certainly not bad.
Geen superzware percentages maar de pittige helling gecombineerd met de lengte laat zich wel voelen. Vanuit een mooi dal gaat het lekker bochtig door een bos omhoog. In de bebouwde kom verwacht je dat het minder wordt maar de weg blijft vrolijk doorstijgen tot bij de kerk. Nadat je linksaf bent geslagen wordt het wel lichter qua percentages maar je benen zijn toch wel aan het zeuren gezien de helling die je al achter je hebt. Goed asfalt en een erg fraai eerste deel. In het dorp is het relatief gezien minder mooi maar zeker ook niet slecht.
Nice climb, certainly not a killer, but one that creeps into the legs. The part between the trees with the bends is hard to take, but once past the refuge it levels off again and you can switch back if your legs still want to go. It is a shame that there is a lot of traffic on this road. The bends make it difficult for the cars to overtake.
Leuke klim, zeker geen moordenaar, maar wel eentje die in de benen kruipt. Het stuk tussen de bomen met de bochten is even doorbijten, eenmaal voorbij de vluchtheuvel vlakt het terug af en kan je terug opschakelen als de benen nog meewillen. Alleen jammer dat er ook wel wat verkeer op deze weg zit. De bochten maken het voor de auto's ook lastig inhalen.
Coming from Bévercé, this beautiful climb came on my path. After a nice bit of descending through the forest, you go through a hairpin bend from which the climb starts. The environment is beautiful here and this hill meanders through the beautiful forest upwards until you arrive at Ovifat. There you're at an altitude of 587m according to my GPS and I turn right towards the lake of Robertville.
Komend vanuit Bévercé kwam deze prachtige beklimming nog op m'n pad. Na een lekker stukje dalen door het bos ga je door een haarspeldbocht waaruit de klim vertrekt. De omgeving is hier schitterend en deze heuvel slingert door het mooie bos naar boven totdat je bij Ovifat aankomt. Daar zit je op een 587m hoogte volgens mijn GPS en sloeg ik rechtsaf richting het meer van Robertville.
