A surprisingly tough little climb. For the first few kilometres, you’re mainly cycling amongst the rocks – it’s absolutely stunning. Then comes a middle section that’s just as tough and just as beautiful, before the climb ends with a razor-steep kilometre. There’s not much at the top, although there is a hotel and a large shop. Just below the summit, in the village of Os Civis, you’re more likely to find a spot on a terrace if you fancy a sit-down. During the climb, you simply ride from Andorra straight into Spain. Which is undoubtedly why this is pretty much the only climb in Andorra without signs indicating the gradients and altitude per kilometre.

Verrassend lastig klimmetje.
