An amazing climb. the road climbs gently from olmo through cassiglio, then after the detour to the right for ornica, you enter a very beautiful deep valley and in a few kilometres you arrive in ornica. there starts the very hard stretch of about 2 km with peaks of 20%. then a false flat and another wall on concrete before reaching the road that climbs from s. brigida. from there about 4 km up to the piani dell'avaro. a tough climb because it is very irregular but not to be missed.... read more

The climb is really steep in the indicated sections. With another instrument it shows me 1.7km at over 14% average and honestly you can feel them all, so much so that when it gets back to 10 or 11% it seems to give you a breather. Beware that around 1200m it becomes striped concrete (I have uploaded a photo) and very steep. Next there is about 250m of well-maintained dirt road (another photo). Asphalt in places new alternating with sections to be resurfaced. The last few km very bad asphalt, almost dangerous on the descent if you don't proceed with caution. Breathtaking scenery

Scenari mozzafiato
