this climb is so-so (gradient is fine). wide highway roads. medium traffic on a Thursday morning (people going up to use the gondola and for walks), even after the car barrier 4k from the top there are maintenance cars, utes and trucks coming up. the top is a huge ski resort, chairlifts going, huge car parking. i didnt find it attractive. port de cabus, Gallina is a lot nicer.
This is the way out to Andorra. It is magnificent. The last part of the climb is cut off from traffic. I met several professionals. In particular ineos. It's really beautiful.
Notamment ineos. C’est vraiment très beau.
Nice climb which they like to use in the big tours, if they are in the neighbourhood.
Not super heavy, but relatively quiet.
Former cyclist Tom Dumoulin once won here in impressive fashion in an almost apocalyptic rain shower.
