I had never come across the climb before, but I will definitely do it more often. Nice and steep

Lekker steil

Nice climb, partly because of the twists and turns and lopsidedness.

Via the descent of Hamelsbach from Eckelrade, you automatically start this short climb. The start of the climb is tough partly because after about 100 metres you have to make a right-angled turn and then immediately face the steepest part. Where a few metres to the right of the road edge is a large boulder, the climb flattens out considerably and you can slowly (more) make your way to the top.

Steep start, but you come down the hill with speed. This makes shifting gears and choosing the right gear very difficult. You end up on the main road between Maastricht and Vaals near the village of Cadier en Keer. Not really a well-known climb, and traffic can be quite enthusiastic coming around the corner. Wouldn't include it in my lap very soon.

A short but nasty little climb. Bringing your speed from the descent from Eckelrade gives you a few metres but because of the unclear bends I would be careful. And it doesn't help much because very soon you are up against a wall and taking the inside bend in the sharp right-hand turn doesn't help either. Unexpectedly heavy actually and that continues for quite a long time through some bends. In the end, you think you see the top, but it doesn't get flat yet, the road keeps rising (and with the steep part in your legs, you really feel that) all the way to the T-junction at the end. Beautiful scenery, lovely bends and great tarmac.

Nice climb through the forest, nice and steep too! Pay attention in the descent, there is a dangerous bend in it.

Nice short climb through the forest. After the descent from Hamelsbach it's easy to go back to the inner lane, because it's quite steep after the turn. After a good push you can recover quickly.

Short but powerful. Can be unsafe due to traffic though, especially downhill.

Because of the speed of the descent of the Hamelsbach you think you can just pop it up on the big blade.
You'll find out after one turn...
