I have rated Oddy Hill as 1 star because everybody avoids it if at all possible. Only the masochists go up it. It's just hard, and you get a lot of traffic. The car drivers prefer to go up Oddy Hill rather than the Twist because Oddy Hill is wide enough for two cars to pass - there's a white line in the middle, So the cars can be going fast, and there's poor visibility on the bends. Couple this with a gradient profile that has you in a really low gear right at the bottom, and you ... read more

Couple this with a gradient profile that has you in a really low gear right at the bottom, and you get the idea this climb is a grind, with the possibility of close passes. Yes, it's tough, but no, it's not enjoyable (although it's fantastic in descent when you can leave the cars behind). But for climbing, go up The Twist instead.
