On this climb, you are between houses so there is not much to look around you. Still, you have two views: After a relaxed start, you turn right and find yourself up against an imposing wall you have to face. Unfortunately, you can only see as far as the faint bend and there it turns out (the second view) that it goes up almost as fast after the bend as before. Really tough going in that respect. Once we reach the wider road, the percentages drop considerably, only the last bit to the left goes up quite a bit. Reasonable asphalt by Walloon standards. A big climbing challenge so near the centre of Verviers.
Bij deze klim zit je tussen de huizen dus er valt niet veel om je heen te kijken. Toch heb je twee keer uitzicht: Na een relaxed begin sla je rechtsaf en sta je tegen een imposante muur aan te kijken waar je tegenop moet. Helaas kan je maar kijken tot de flauwe bocht en daar blijkt (het tweede uitzicht) dat het na de bocht nog vrijwel net zo hard omhoog loopt als daarvoor. Echt flink afzien wat dat betreft. Eenmaal op de bredere weg aangekomen dalen de percentages flink, alleen het laatste stukje linksaf loopt nog stevig op. Voor Waalse begrippen redelijk asfalt. Een flinke klimuitdaging zo bij het centrum van Verviers.
