Guess the most challenging climb I've done so far in this area, poorly laid cobbles in a steep curve uphill. Very short but very rewarding. Pity it is not included in the Tuscany route.... read more

What a scare this was: I saw the gravel stretch and wanted to turn around. According to GPS, the stretch of gravel was not too long, so I decided to ride on. Suddenly cobblestones - with a 15% gradient. And I hadn't switched gears yet. Fumbling up to the top but. Once at the top I did have a puncture (gravel or cobbles?), so 1 time and never again....

Great climb. The cobbles on a bend add spice and good shifting is key. Otherwise it's slippery. At the top you come to a kind of plateau. Nevertheless, the most beautiful climb of the region's climbs!

Geweldige beklimming.

Wow, what a hidden gem!!! A bit of a scare when you emerge from the village onto a gravel path, but very soon you will see on your left a fairly steep uphill cobbled road that you cannot miss. In autumn, the cobbles are quite slippery, so watch out for slipping wheels and don't get out of the saddle too quickly! The cobbled path winds nicely through a forest, before reappearing among the fruit trees at the top. Definitely one of the most beautiful and spicy climbs in the area. Highly recommended!!!

Aanrader!!!

Also known as the Koppenberg of Haren. The cobblestones are so bad, it's as if they fell off the car and they haven't done anything to them since. Be careful your rear wheel doesn't come off/slip on the cobbles. I found it a pity that it is rather short, actually you would want to ride it a few times. But I didn't dare to descend on it, to be honest.
The part before the cobblestones is unpaved but just doable on a racing bike. The photos are of the cobblestones at the top, here they are really good compared to the rest of the climb.
