I was pleasantly surprised! It is indeed a straight line through the woods, but a nice one, a surprisingly steep one, and one that is very doable on a road bike despite the gravel. Recommended if you have done the Menthenberg. Costs you a few extra kilometers, but it's a much nicer experience than cycling along one of the big N-roads.... read more

Spicy climb that goes on for a long time. Nice lane through rows of trees, fast cycling at the moment, gravel is nice and smooth and dry. Beautiful surroundings

Schitterend omgeving

Almost straight gravel bike path through a beautiful forest and lined with trees like an avenue. Because of the season, it is wet and the "clean" path between the leaves is very narrow, but the weather also made sure I was the only cyclist so could just enjoy the well-running gravel and the surroundings. Just a bit different than usual and just a nice little climb.

Very nice little climb through the forest. Pay close attention to which turn to take from the Bakenbergseweg because I went onto the "normal" cycle path and had to turn around and enter the path with a sharp right-angled turn, I can imagine that if you can bring more speed you can stomp on this wonderfully.
