I did this climb while staying in Bichlbach, summer 2022. In the surroundings of Bichlbach few nice climbs, without getting on very busy road or unpaved roads, but the road from Bichlbach to Stanzach is a must. Profile describes the climb well; from Bichlbach one and a half kilometres 2 to 4%, the part to Berwang is more difficult but when reaching the village it quickly flattens out again, in Berwang village a steeper 200m, then a descent and another steep bit (slightly more steep than profile suggests). Very good tarmac, despite limited altitude a beautiful area to cycle. It is a connecting road between two valleys, but still limited traffic and quite quiet. Especially after Berwang, mainly some motorcyclists and a few tourists. The descent to Stanzach will have brand new asphalt in 2022.
The Tiroler Zugspitzarena area is not recommended for racing cyclists, but this road is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Return Bichlbach to Stanzach is about 52 km and over 1100 hm on a beautiful road in beautiful surroundings.
