Today we did this extension of the Maaldersstraat uphill for the first time, in the past only downhill. The second part is a relief compared to the Maadersstraat but because at the top you are almost at a standstill, at least I am, you start with little speed. When you get to the top of the super steep Maadersstraat you have to turn right, just as narrow but noticeably less steep. It is a narrow not-so-excellent tarmac road winding between garage boxes and back gardens. At the top, you come to the Orleance tower and have to turn left down towards Braeckepoort. Views are nil in terms of landscape but the gradients, especially the first part, are one of the highest in the Hageland,
Vandaag dit verlengstuk van de Maaldersstraat voor het eerst bergop gedaan, in het verleden enkel bergaf. Het 2de deel is een verademing tov de Maadersstraat maar omdat je boven nagenoeg stilstaat, ik toch, begin je er met weinig snelheid aan . Als je boven bent op de super steile Maadersstraat moet je rechts, even smal maar merkelijk minder steil. Het is een smal niet zo voortreffelijk asfaltweggetje dat kronkelt tussen de garage boxen en achtertuintjes. Boven kom je aan de Orleance toren en moet je links naar beneden richting Braeckepoort. Uitzicht is nihil wat betreft landschap maar de stijgingspercentages, vooral het eerste deel, zijn één van de hoogste het Hageland,
