Climb with a tough (say unexpectedly tough) start and a relaxed spur. From the canal the road goes straight up and that slope feels pretty heavy. The rise is cold on your roof. When you reach the top turn left on the bike path (2 directions) and you will see the rest of the climb in front of you. Just ride up to the highest point.
