If you are a real 'cobblestone rider' you can definitely get your enjoyment here. For me personally, the climb was fun and doable (by road bike) but if I visit here again I might still opt for my gravel bike. The downside is that you first have to descend the bad cobbles of the Keierberg before you can climb Platijn. If you're really not into cobbles then yes, it's better to stay away, especially as they're not in the best shape :)

Absolutely to be avoided! The cobbles are terrible, but especially the descent on cobbles before you start the slope is life-threatening. My water bottle fell out and broke leaving me without a drink, but another lucky thing it didn't get caught between my wheels. I will never come back here again.

I did it once, but you won't see me back on this road soon. The cobbles are in a bad way! You can try in vain to find the gutter, but every time you have to go back up the cobblestones.
