From Wijlre, climb to the top at the junction near the transmitter mast at the top of Eyserbosweg. It goes up steadily until the right-hand bend. Then it flattens out to false flat. You can also ride from Leienhuisweg via Kleinveldjesweg to the other side of the Miljoenenlijn and continue the climb.
Klim vanuit Wijlre naar de top op de kruising bij de zendmast bovenaan de Eyserbosweg. Tot aan de bocht naar rechts gaat het gestaag omhoog. Daarna vlakt het af tot vals plat. Je kan vanaf de Leienhuisweg ook via de Kleinveldjesweg naar de andere zijde van de Miljoenenlijn rijden en de klim verder doen.
A nice steep first part, after the turn it becomes less difficult. The view is beautiful. There may be agricultural traffic on this narrow road.
Een mooi steil eerste stuk, na de bocht wordt het duidelijk minder zwaar. Het uitzicht is mooi. Er kan wel landbouwverkeer over deze smalle weg komen.
Less challenging than the Dikkebuiksweg but certainly not to be despised. After the tough first part (same as the Dikkebelikweg) you come to the junction with the intimate monument for the American Sergeant Robert S. Haws who died here. Turn right here and actually the climb is already over. The road climbs steadily but slightly until it reaches the well-known tree at the end of the Eyserbosweg. Not a difficult climb, but halfway it is a pleasure to enjoy one of the most beautiful views in this area.
Minder uitdaging dan de Dikkebuiksweg maar zeker niet te versmaden. Na het pittige begingedeelte (gelijk aan de Dikkebuiksweg) kom je op de splitsing met het intieme monumentje voor de Amerikaanse Sergeant Robert S. Haws die hier sneuvelde. Hier rechtsaf en eigenlijk is het dan al gedaan met de klim. De weg stijgt gestaag maar lichtjes door tot de bekende boom aan het eind van de Eyserbosweg. Niet zwaar, des te meer is het halverwege dit stuk genieten van één van de mooiste uitzichten in dit gebied.
The climb starts the same as the "dikkebuiksweg", but halfway you turn right to the top of the "eyserbosweg". In terms of difficulty and views, however, this variant is less enjoyable than the full "dikkebuikweg".
De klim start hetzelfde als de dikkebuiksweg, maar halverwege sla je rechtsaf naar de top van de eyserbosweg. Qua moeilijkheidsgraad en uitzichten is deze variant echter minder leuk dan de volledige dikkebuiksweg.
