A great scenic climb to medieval hiiltop village of Montefalcone (falcons do indeed nest in the cliff). Nice hairpins with a small downhill section before the Ceresola junction (take that & climb to Smerillo for a harder ascent). Rarely busy, though market day on Saturday sees a few more cars. Awesome views across the Aso valley to the Appennine mountains ,Monte Vettore peaking at nearly 2,500 metres. Bear in mind I am over 60 so youngsters may find it a bit tame!... read more
