An absolute must do if you are in the area. As usual, climb was harder in reality than on paper, especially in combination with the humid heat of the day. Great tarmac, lovely switchbacks, shaded road and little traffic past the convent. Breathtaking views from the top.

A truly amazing climb that takes you from the beach up to the highest point of Monte Argentario. Only saw one or two cars the entire way when I did it in late March 2023 and the tarmac is fine. The views are absolutely stunning and on a clear day you can see Corsica clearly in the background. The steepest bit is the very last climb up to the summit (Telegrafo); my Garmin mentioned 20%. At the top is a military zone, but there is also a nice viewpoint which is accessible.
