It was meant to be a day off the bike but noticed this simple climb, just metres from where I was staying, so went to have a look. Once through the various traffic lights in the housing area, this climb is quiet, passing through eucalyptus woodland, with great views out over the city of Oviedo. The final section up to the statue on the top has the odd tougher gradient, but nothing more than about 8% on this climb. Stunning views from the top. The road surface is fine, just a little broken on pla... read more

Nice little climb out of Oviedo. Not difficult and good road surface. It doesn't go anywhere as it's just a dead end at the top, but if you're in Oviedo and just want a stretch of the legs, this is a good climb. Also give great views over the town.

We stopped at a restaurant on the way down and would highly recommend this - a nice treat after a rainy morning ride.
