It is not the case that the whole middle part of the climb has cobblestones. Sometimes part of the road surface is paved (e.g. a small strip on the left side before you get to the termas) or the road is even sections completely paved. This is not to say that the road then rides fine, as the road surface is also relatively poor. The cobbles themselves are largely in good shape.

Despite being a small road, you will still occasionally encounter traffic here.

Not being a fan of cobblestones myself, I would recommend one of the climbs to Lagoa do Fogo instead of this climb.

Het is niet zo dat het hele middelste deel van de klim kasseien heeft. Soms is een deel van het wegdek verhard (bv een kleine strook aan de linkerkant voordat je bij de termas komt) of is de weg zelfs stukjes helemaal verhard. Dit wil niet zeggen dat de weg dan fijn rijdt, want het wegdek is dan ook relatief slecht. De kasseien zelf liggen er grotendeels goed bij.

Ondanks dat het een kleine weg is zal je hier toch af en toe nog verkeer tegenkomen.

Aangezien ik zelf geen liefhebber van kasseien, zou ik een van de klimmen naar Lagoa do Fogo aanraden in plaats van deze klim.
