The new asphalt that adorns the nine hairpin bends from Peri to Fosse make the first part of the climb a real pleasure. In my mind's eye I saw bits of Alpe d'Huez, but this Monte Cornetto is... more beautiful, more refined, more peaceful, more classy. You would forget to enjoy the view on the other side of the valley; the church of Madonna della Corona is hidden on a rocky outcrop against the mountainside of Monte Baldo. The second part of the ascent of the Cornetto I found quite a bit less: it remains relatively steep and the gravel (alternating with strips of concrete) is not always easy. The summit is magnificent. And what strange-looking building is there? God knows. Sublime mountain this Monte Cornetto.

The first part (hairpin bends) I found at times spicy.
But once arrived at the church, it is enjoyable.
Also the gravel part is excellent and give this climb just a little extra's.
Beautiful region for cycling, no high passages but enough altimeters.
