Spicy climb south of Ancona. Monte Conero is the eye-catcher of the coastal region, reaching from 575 metres directly into the sea. From the coast, it climbs gradually to 150 metres altitude before the official climb starts at Fonte D'Olio. In less than 3km, 300m altitude difference is conquered with only towards the summit being briefly granted a % percentage below 10. The rest is tough. Once at the top, beautiful views and restaurant makes up for a lot. There is no other descent back, which is a pity.
