Spicy climb south of Ancona. Monte Conero is the eye-catcher of the coastal region, reaching from 575 metres directly into the sea. From the coast, it climbs gradually to 150 metres altitude before the official climb starts at Fonte D'Olio. In less than 3km, 300m altitude difference is conquered with only towards the summit being briefly granted a % percentage below 10. The rest is tough. Once at the top, beautiful views and restaurant makes up for a lot. There is no other descent back, ... read more

Short but tough climb, very nice asphalt. The climb offers few viewpoints and it is not worth climbing to the top with a road bike, as there are no viewpoints near the military base

It's too bad you can't make a loop because the climb is worth it in terms of toughness: you have to go back to where you came up. As you climb, you cannot see the sea. Once you reach the top, there is a diversion to the left along a military road that leads a little further up and to a diversion that allows you to get to Belvedere NORD, which can only be travelled by MTB or Gravel: you arrive at an overlook with a view of Portonovo
