An ascent from the Carpinetana road after the junction for the village of Maenza. The first 2 km or so are really hard in double figures...then the road flattens out a little to pick up again as you approach the summit. The road becomes narrow and a little rutted after passing the restaurant "LA SORGENTE", until you reach the little church of S.Luca a few hundred metres at the end of the climb.
