The climb was carried out in July 2024 to launch an outing starting from the Port des Quilles and ended with an alternative via the Chemin de Saint-Clair. Very little traffic for me, but it was only 7.30am.
From the very first hectometres, the gradient steepened to 20% before a saving flat, allowing me to get my cardio back down in preparation for the 2nd part.
At the top, at the foot of the antenna, the view over the Etang de Thau and the port of Sète fully justifies the effort.

lovely sloping hillside in the middle of sète, such a pleasant town with so much history!

During my holidays in Agde, I did the climb in Sete. A 2km climb which is quite tough in 2 parts because the steepness goes up to 18%. The climb starts out fine with percentages from 6 to 10% but you will soon get the first 18% after which the climb slows down a bit but after the last turn for the first part of the climb you will get another 18% for your pants, the road is coming towards you and the warning sign only on slope 20% does not help mentally.
Once at the top, you can rest and enjoy the view for a bit.
It is advisable to continue on the flat section, road is currently being replaced with new asphalt (unfortunately I had to walk the whole way because of this)
The last part of the 14% climb feels pleasant after the 18%.
Your reward is a beautiful view of the top of sete.

From the other side you can also do the climb which goes without a falcon part in one go but is continuously above 10.
