A nice climb along a tarmac path past the Gaia Zoo. The climb itself is characterised by its variety, as the percentages are constantly changing and there are also two larger flat or descending sections, which is why you can't really find a rhythm. On the downside, the upper part of the route can turn into a large puddle, which is why it is better to ride the climb in summer.
In my opinion, the profile of the climb does not quite correspond to reality, as there is initially a large flat section in the upper part, followed by a phase of approx. 14 per cent over 40 metres.
Netter Anstieg über einen asphltierten Weg am Gaia-Zoo vorbei. Der Anstieg selber besticht durch seine Vielfältigkeit, da die Prozentsätze ständig wechseln und es auch zwei größere flache bzw. absteigende Passagen gibt, weshalb man allerdings keinen richtigen Rhytmus finden kann. Negativ ist, dass sich der obere Teil der Strecke in eine Großraumpfütze entwickeln kann, weshalb man den Anstieg eher im Sommer fahren sollte.
Das Profil des Anstieges entspricht meiner Meinung nach nicht ganz der Realität, da es im oberen Teil zunächst eine große Flachpassage gibt, und es anschließend eine Phase von ca. 14 Prozent über 40 Meter gibt.
Varied climb with short steep parts, descend and light climb along the Gaia Zoo and through forest. At the top you end up on the cycle path along the connection to the Buitenring. In the beginning it can be busy with hikers, afterwards less.
Afwisselende klim met korte steile stukken, afdalen en licht klimmen langs de Gaia dierentuin en door bos. Boven kom je uit op het fietspad langs de aansluiting op de Buitenring. In het begin kan het druk zijn met wandelaars, daarna minder.
This climb shares the beginning with the Brughofweg. Here too there is a bit of a steep start but this climb has more surprises. As soon as you turn left on the cycle path into the forest the route descends but immediately after that there is a steep bump. After that the bike path goes up and down a bit so you don't get into a rhythm and just before the end there is a spicy bit. From the point where the asphalt changes to red pavement, it is over with the percentages.
At some points there was water on the bike path (despite the drought). So be careful when descending, also because of possible crowds. Too bad because the path meanders nicely through the forest.
Deze klim deelt het begin met de Brughofweg. Ook hier dus venijn in het begin maar deze klim heeft meer verrassingen. Zodra je naar links het fietspad het bos in gaat daalt de route maar meteen daarna een steil bultje. Daarna golft het fietspad wat op en neer zodat je niet in een ritme komt en vlak voor het eind nog even een pittiger stukje. Vanaf het punt waar het asfalt overgaat in rode bestrating is het wel over met de percentages.
Op enkele punten lag er water op het fietspad (ondanks de droogte). Oppassen met dalen dus, ook vanwege mogelijke drukte. Jammer want het pad slingert lekker door het bos heen.
