The climb starts under the bridge over the A8 motorway. After about 500 metres, you leave the main road and take a narrow road where the slope is steepest. On the left, shortly before the summit, it is worth stopping to admire the calvary of Mainvault.
Nice view to the south after the summit.
Note that the Mainvault mountain contains a huge reservoir of drinking water for the ... Flanders.
La côte démarre sous le pont franchi par l'autoroute A8. Après environ 500 mètres, on quitte la nationale pour s'engager sur une petite route étroite où la pente est la plus raide. Sur la gauche, peu avant le sommet, ça vaut la peine de s'arrêter pour admirer le calvaire de Mainvault.
Belle vue vers le sud une fois le sommet franchi.
A noter que le mont de Mainvault contient un immense réservoir d'eau potable destinée à la ... Flandre.
