Terrible thing, but if you're in the area definitely do it. View at the top is great. You will need new brake pads after the descent (if descending is not your thing, choose the other side, which is not nearly as steep).... read more

This climb you should definitely have done I always use it when I am going to climb Mont Ventoux then you have the % in your legs which are comparable as on the Ventoux after the suffering you get a beautiful view at the top.

Steep, just constantly very steep. Not long, only 4.5 km, but they do hurt you a lot. The view at the top is very nice though, the descent to Brouzet a bit less, the other way is a nice descent though. The ascent from Seynessis iest better to do.

Steil, gewoon constant erg steil.

it stings. In both directions. If you're lucky, you'll see a Canadair making training runs at the summit.

Not a big known name, but definitely worth taking on as a challenge. The profile is quite erratic. Also to be avoided if it is very hot, as there is rarely any shade to be found.
The climb starts off very tough right away with a stretch at 10%. Don't get discouraged yet. An easier stretch follows with percentages between 3 and 5%. Take a moment to recover before the tough middle section. 400m at an average of 15%. A real blast for the calves. Once they have been bitten by this, the hardest part is over. Back to a flatter part to finish with the last steep metres before the summit. The reward is a beautiful view from where you can see the Ventoux, among other things. The summit is used as an observatory against forest fires. An artificial turf section has been built to serve paragliders.

The climb has an undulating gradient which makes it extra tough! This made it difficult to find the right pace. The climb is also located in an open plain which made it very hot, with excessive sweating as a result. There is a weather station at the top and you can also enjoy beautiful views! There is even some artificial grass so you can take a nice picture!
