The "Hefeler Berg" was once a popular climb. In the early 2010s, amateur mountain time trials were still organised here. There is also said to have been a cycling race here in the 1980s. After conquering the climb several times, however, the legend of this route is definitely not its difficulty. With a gradient of mostly 6% and a maximum of 7.5%, this is still one of the easier climbs in the region. The climb is more interesting due to its location. It leads mainly through dense forest. A prominent hairpin bend marks the transition to the second section of the route, which ultimately leads through residential areas to Moltkeplatz. So you quickly make your way from the countryside into the city. If you then imagine the crowds of people at the side of the road, you can imagine what this climb was like back then. But it is still fun today, especially in the evening hours when there is very little traffic.
