An easy climb on the road that connects Valdera to Val di Cecina, at the top of which is the village of Miemo, a former fortress of considerable importance in the events of Tuscany until the 15th century. It begins with a falsopiano of about 3 km that follows the course of the Sterza stream, the only stretch where the view is open to the surrounding countryside. The climb proper, at 3/4%, winds entirely through the woods; once at the top, you can turn for the village, where you can admire the castle and church, or descend into the Cecina Valley, along a descent that offers several interesting views. I recommend arriving at the climb having already filled your water bottles, since for several kilometres you will not have the opportunity to do so.
