Visitors to the area will invariably choose to climb Whiteleaf rather than Longdown Hill (or just "Cadsden" as we refer to it locally), however it has a lot going for it. The easy lead in quickly turns into a steep climb after the Plough Pub (where David Cameron famously forgot his child) and heads into the trees. Then when you think it's the top, it isn't, and after a flatter part you have to climb again to the summit. The descent down the other side is fun, and actually better than the descent from Whiteleaf (unless you go down Kop).
