Short lim from Melleschet/Mechelderbeek valley to Hilleshagerweg with a steeper section at the beginning and at the end. You can do this climb if you want to go to Mechelen via Rott/Melleschet. You then don't have to go up via Vijlenstraat to the descent Vijlenstraat/Hileshagerweg.
Korte lim vanuit Melleschet/Mechelderbeekdal naar de Hilleshagerweg met in het begin en op het einde een steiler stuk. Deze klim kan je doen als je via Rott/Melleschet naar Mechelen wil. Je hoeft dan niet via de Vijlenstraat omhoog naar de afdaling Vijlenstraat/Hileshagerweg.
The quiet, narrow alternative to Vijlen Street. Nice and vicious tail. Lovers of greenery and tranquillity get a better deal here than at Vijlenstraat.

Scenically nice climb with a very nice view on Vijlen. The road meanders upwards but the devil is in the tail, literally in the last meters. Before that, enjoy the view on the right side.
Landschappelijk fraai klimmetje met een zeer mooi uitzicht op Vijlen. De weg kabbelt al slingerend naar boven maar het venijn zit in de staart, zeg maar letterlijk in de laatste meters. Daarvoor nog even genieten van het uitzicht aan de rechterkant.
The Leunweg is not a special climb, but if you are in the area, you might as well take it. It lies nicely on the route towards the triptych Kruisberg, Eyserbosweg and Fromberg. The gradients are not too steep, until you think you're there. When you approach the main road, from the last bend, it becomes very steep. So up you go.
De Leunweg is geen bijzondere beklimming, maar als je toch in de buurt bent, kun je hem net zo goed meepakken. Hij ligt mooi op de route richting het drieluik Kruisberg, Eyserbosweg en Fromberg. De stijgingspercentages vallen erg mee, totdat je denkt dat je er bent. Als je de grote weg nadert, vanaf de laatste bocht, wordt het nog even enorm steil. Harken naar boven dus.
