Done on 21 September 2022.
The first 10 km and especially the first part are boring, on a wide road with a good to average tarmac, because in places it is degraded by the harshness of the winter and the vehicles that go up to the stations, the road is lined with trees and there are few gaps for views, otherwise the traffic is very quiet and it is pleasant.
After the notches, the view opens up, the road becomes narrow and very bad, the slope becomes steeper but still it is less boring, about 5 to 6 km to go.
I continued a little bit after the hamlet of Bauches as the road allows it until a small parking with a view on the glacier of Plagne Bellecote.
Overall a nice climb with a significant difference in altitude, a little monotonous in the first 10 km, but then despite the degraded tarmac it becomes grandiose.
Be careful in hot weather as it is in the sun.
