After doing this climb I found out that I had actually taken a wrong turn after Zorten. Instead of taking a left turn onto Voa Nova I took a right turn onto Voa Canius. This shortened the climb by around 2.3 km, and thus made the average gradient significantly higher. I will recommend this route, as it is quiet, has nice tarmac and amazing views. The gradient on this section was quite uneven though, with some short sections that were almost flat, and some ramps of 15%-16%. The section up to... read more

The section up to Zorten was also quite steep. Most of this was on new tarmac, which made it feel a bit less hard.
The climb is beautiful and most of it is quiet. In Lenzerheide there are more cars, as you would expect. The pass itself is not really worth mentioning, but the climb is recommended.

It starts out tough with 9-12% for around 15-20 minutes with a short flat breather in the middle. It's a small road mainly used by locals so not very busy. You ride through three small and picturesque mountain villages. Stop on the first one, Zorten, on the way up to refill the bottle in one of the wells along the way. The scenery is amazing with awesome views of the surrounding mountains.
