Beautiful climb in which I fully concur with the description of the gentlemen before me. The last few kilometres have been resurfaced. The road there is not much wider than a Dutch cycle path, but over fantastic tarmac. There is no traffic and you ride nicely undulating through a forest. A must if you are in the area.
Prachtige klim waarbij ik me volledig aansluit bij de beschrijving van de heren voor mij. De laatste paar kilometers zijn opnieuw geasfalteerd. De weg is daar niet veel breder dan een Hollands fietspad, maar dan wel over fantastisch asfalt. Verkeer is er niet en je rijdt mooi glooiend door een bos. Een must als je in de buurt bent.
A long climb from Hohenlimburg to Wiblingwerde, which only really begins at the Brenscheider Mühle. Up to this point, you can warm up well and take the odd small wave with you. After you have passed the populated lower reaches with various industrial settlements, the route becomes more appealing from an agricultural point of view, always along the Nahmerbach stream. The traffic up to this point is not very disruptive due to the wide road. The road becomes narrower as it continues, and from the Brenscheider Mühle in particular it is more of a tarmac path. Towards the end, the forest slopes give way to an open meadow landscape for 1-2 hairpin bends, but after that you have already made it.
Ein langer Anstieg von Hohenlimburg nach Wiblingwerde, der aber erst ab der Brenscheider Mühle so richtig beginnt. Bis dorthin kann man sich gut warmfahren und die ein oder andere kleinere Welle mitnehmen. Nachdem man den besiedelten Unterlauf mit diversen Industrieansiedlungen passiert hat, wird es auch landwirtschaftlich ansprechender, immer entlang des Nahmerbachs. Der bis dort vorliegende Verkehr ist aufgrund der breiten Wegführung nicht sehr störend. Im weiteren Verlauf wird die Straße dann enger, insbesondere ab der Brenscheider Mühle ist es eher ein asphaltierter Weg. Zum Ende hin weichen die Waldhänge für 1-2 Kehren einer offenen Wiesenlandschaft, danach hat man es allerdings bereits geschafft.
If you drive into the Nahmer valley, there is first some old industry, then there are the necessary residential houses. It is a quiet valley with several climbs for the cyclist. At the end of the valley there is a climb from the Brenscheider Muhle. The first part goes quietly through a forest along a stream and is not difficult. At the end there is a bit where you sweat a bit more, but nowhere you really get in trouble. All in all a very nice climb.
Als je het Nahmerdal in rijdt is er eerst wat oude industrie, waarna er de nodige woonhuizen zijn. Het is op zich een rustig dal meet meerdere klimmen voor de fietser. Aan het eind ligt zo een klim en wel vanaf de Brenscheider Muhle. Het eerste deel gaat rustig door een bos langs een beek en is niet moeilijk. Aan het eind zit even een stukje waar je wat meer zweet, maar nergens kom je echt in de problemen. Al met al een hele leuke klim.
