The climb starts thv the entrance to the castle ruins and then goes up a fine stretch of tarmac road. The first 100 metres are nicely uphill. If you turn left at the end of the cycle path and right at the roundabout, you can catch the Melcherstraat climb straight away.
Leuke verborgen klim aan de oostkant van kasteelruïne Schaesberg. De klim zit in de Parkstadfietsroute tussen Schinnen en Simpelveld. De klim start thv de ingang van de kasteelruïne en gaat dan een prima stukje asfaltweg op. De eerst 100 meter loopt het lekker omhoog. De volgende 200 meter vlakt het af en halfverwege dit routedeel hou je rechtsaan om het fietspad op te gaan. Op het fietspad volgt het mooiste deel van de klim. Richting top tik je 9 à 10％ aan. Als je aan het einde van het fietspad linksaf gaat en op de rotonde rechtsaf dan kan je gelijk de klim van de Melcherstraat meepakken.
