In my opinion, the climb starts a bit further than indicated here (from km 1) so that the average ％ will be more like 5-6％. It doesn't have the grandeur of the other side with the hairpins but it climbs very nicely through the forest. On this ridge you can quickly gain height meters by riding it up and down several times on different sides.
De klim begint wat mij betreft iets verder dan hier aangegeven (vanaf km 1) waardoor het gemiddelde ％ eigenlijk ook meer naar 5-6％ zal gaan. Heeft niet de grandeur van de andere zijde met de haarspeldbochten maar klimt wel erg mooi door het bos. Op deze heuvelrug kan je snel hoogtemeters winnen door hem een aantal keer via verschillende zijden op-af te rijden.
The ridge between Licques and Landrethun-lès-Ardres is very suitable for a number of meanders and thus a number of steep slopes to string together. Zeker een fijne klim om eens op te nemen in je route. Echter, deze zijde kan zich niet meten met dezelfde helling vanuit Audenfort, die ronduit spectaculair is met zijn haarspeldbochten.
