À la suite du message déjà très complet de Cro-Magnon, j'ajoute que l'état de la route sur l'ensemble de la montée (et pas seulement sur le détour vers l'immeuble abandonné de l'Institut de Géographie Alpine) est mauvais en général et nécessite d'être prudent lors de la redescente. Vers le haut de la côte, un passage est même actuellement interdit au véhicule (travaux en cours), même si un cycliste peut s'y faufiler.

L'immeuble actuellement à l'abandon devrait être bientôt transformé, comme son voisin immédiat, en séries de résidences privées pour « The Babel Community ».

À noter que selon les dernières informations que j'ai reçues (été 2024), il n'y aura plus de résidence universitaire sur le site du Rabot à partir de la rentrée 2025. Je me demande ce que les bâtiments concernés vont devenir. J'espère qu'ils ne seront pas laissés à l'abandon à leur tour…
