The Lago di Place Moulin belongs to the list of pleasant, long climbs of the Aosta Valley. A quiet climb towards the summits of the Cervino / Matterhorn. Alternated with some high percentages if you have to ride up the flanks, so you stay with the lesson. Tip: if the road is open, stay longer on SR-17 than the route description indicates. You will then drive on the SR-17 through Roisan and the forest instead of descending to the much busier SR-28 before the village. A few kms later you'll reach the SR-28. After Valpelline the road becomes quiet and you can better look at the beautiful mountains.
