From Cusiano to Cogolo, it is worth using the convenient cycle path along the valley floor, which runs alongside the Noce stream. Even in summer and almost always in the shade. The ascent to Pejo Fonti is regular, on a wide track and with a good road surface. Traffic is heavy but never excessively disruptive. Once past the village, one enters the Val del Monte to the Fontanino pratica6 at the foot of the dam. A half-hour walk along a good path leads to the beautiful artificial lake of Pian Palù... read more

In my opinion, Lake Palù is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Alps. It's a shame that with a racing bike you have to stop at the ferruginous water fountain below the dam. For the rest, a rather uneven climb, with hairpin bends and false-floors. The Pejo valley is beautiful.
