Mooie lange klim. Inderdaad is het asfalt niet geschikt om af te dalen, veel losse steentjes. Bij omhoog fietsen hindert dit niet. Terug via les vignes afdalen en het water over om direct door te klimmen richting subliem point, als er nog wat in het vat zit

Vanuit le Rozier stijg je het beste door de Gorges du Jonte rustig pedalerend. Opwarmen want vanaf het gehucht Le Truel gaat het onmiddellijk de lucht in. Dit amper 3 meter geasfalteerd pad slingert met maar bar weinig vangrails zich een weg langs de enorme rotswanden omhoog. Een auto die terug in zijn achteruit moet om voorrang te verlenen aan een stijgende auto mag hopen dat de koppelingsplaat niet doorbrand. Of nog erger, zijn remmen het begeven. De vrouw ernaast heeft de handen al voor de ogen geslagen en bidt op een goede afloop. Zou dat de reden zijn waarom er zoveel vale gieren hier boven je hoofd zweven? Het asfalt is niet te best en een reden extra om deze klim alleen omhoog te doen. Afdalend kan via le Bourgerie naar les Vignes of naar Meyrueis. Meteen een leuk rondje van zo’n 50 km in de ochtend of avond. De middag
